Ethical Tailoring & Trims
- Earth-Sourced Buttons: We strictly avoid plastic. Your garments are fastened with natural Corozo, sustainably sourced shell, coconut wood, or hand-made fabric buttons.
- Pure Linings & Structures: We use luxuriously soft Cotton Satin for our linings, OEKO-TEX® certified cotton for our interlinings, and 100% pure cotton for our shoulder pads.
- Recycled Threading: We proudly stitch our garments using Coats EcoVerde™—the world’s first 100% recycled premium sewing thread.
Zero-Plastic Packaging
Your Adam Leaves delivery is a testament to our earth-first philosophy. We ship using sturdy corrugated paper boxes and 100% biodegradable, plant-based packing bags that break down naturally via microorganisms. Our brand labels are woven from pure cotton, and our hang-tags are made from recycled paper—with an upcoming transition to paper crafted entirely from upcycled flower waste!
Artisan Embellishments
We celebrate the human touch. All our detailing is done via traditional hand embroidery utilizing pure cotton or wool threads, accented only with natural shell, wood beads, or pearls. You will never find microplastics or chemical beads on our clothing.
Conscious Colors: Printing & Dyeing
Artisanal Eco-Printing: The majority of our botanical patterns are created through traditional eco-printing, relying entirely on the natural pigments of leaves and flora.
Zero-Waste Reactive Printing: For vibrant, lasting colors, we utilize advanced reactive printing on natural fibers like cotton and linen. The dyes form a permanent, molecular covalent bond with the fiber itself. Instead of sitting on the surface like synthetic paints, the color becomes part of the fabric. This process results in zero water wastage and utilizes strictly harmful-chemical-free dyes.
Azo-Free Mill Fabrics: When sourcing pre-dyed textiles, we require strict confirmation that only Azo-free, skin-safe dyes are used.
Radical Transparency: Our 99% Promise
We are a growing, newly established brand deeply committed to a zero-plastic policy. Are we perfect? We are always learning. While we refuse to use plastic in our packaging and designs, some raw material vendors still deliver to us using plastic wrap. Instead of throwing this into a landfill, we upcycle 100% of this inbound plastic, reusing it multiple times to tightly bundle our garments during the steaming stage of our eco-printing process.
We back our materials with third-party verifications like GOTS and OEKO-TEX® standards, alongside strict vendor declarations. But the ultimate proof is in your hands: when you receive our garment, you can see, feel, and verify the pure, natural integrity of every single element.
A Note on What We Don't Use
Plastic buttons, beads, sequins and other plastic tailoring materials: Most are made from petroleum plastics coated in chemical or metallic finishes — not biodegradable, and drawn from a resource we'd rather not add to. We'll leave them out of our designs until a genuinely sustainable alternative exists.
