Adam Leaves Bespoke: Custom Eco-Printed Clothing & Measurement Guide

Welcome to the Adam Leaves bespoke studio. With a garment craftsmanship heritage dating back to 1994, our design philosophy is rooted in the belief that true luxury lies in a flawless fit and a profound respect for the earth.

A well-fitted garment not only looks impeccable but is cherished and worn for years—a cornerstone of conscious, slow fashion. We pair this made-to-measure tailoring with our signature botanical printing process. By rescuing sacred marigolds and discarded florals from local Mumbai temples, we divert these beautiful blooms from landfills and waterways. Instead, we use them to imprint vibrant, chemical-free natural dyes onto premium, breathable fabrics like pure hemp, linen, silk, and cotton.

The result is a wearable, zero-waste canvas of nature's art, tailored exclusively to your unique silhouette. Here is your guide to securing the perfect fit.

Before You Begin

Precision is the secret to bespoke tailoring. To ensure your eco-printed garment flatters your exact shape, please have the following ready:

  • A flexible measuring tape.

  • A pen and paper (or your smartphone) to record your numbers.

  • A friend or family member to assist with accurate back and shoulder measurements.

  • Light, well-fitted clothing (avoid measuring over thick layers).

Consultant's Tip: Always measure in inches or centimeters, keeping the tape comfortably snug against your body—neither too tight that it pinches, nor too loose that it slips.

Step 1: The Measurement Guide

Refer to the visual indicators in the images to pinpoint exactly where to place your measuring tape for various parts of the body. Keep the tape comfortably snug and perfectly aligned with the guide lines to ensure flawless accuracy for all your sizing needs.

Step 2: Upper Body Measurements

(Essential for Kurtas, Shirts, Dresses, Jackets, Blazers & Waistcoats)

  • Shoulder: Measure straight across your back from the edge of one shoulder bone to the edge of the other.

  • Bust / Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust or chest, ensuring the tape remains completely parallel to the floor.

  • Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural torso (usually just above the belly button).

  • Hips: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

  • Armhole: Measure around the shoulder joint and underarm where the sleeve naturally joins the body of a garment.

  • Sleeve Length: Measure from the outer point of the shoulder down the arm to your desired sleeve hem (short, three-quarter, or full length).

  • Garment Length: Measure straight down from the highest point of your shoulder (near the base of the neck) to your desired hemline.

Step 3: Bottoms Measurements

(Essential for Trousers, Pants, Pyjamas & Skirts)

  • Waist: Measure around the specific area where you naturally prefer your trousers or waistbands to sit.

  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat to ensure comfortable movement.

  • Bottom Length (Outseam): Measure down the outside of your leg from your waistband to your desired hem length.

  • Inseam: Measure down the inside of your leg from the highest point of the crotch seam down to the ankle or desired hem.

  • Front Rise: Measure from the front center of your waistline, down through the crotch, ending at the inseam convergence point.

  • Back Rise: Measure from the back center of your waistline, down through the crotch, ending at the inseam convergence point.
