We make clothing only in natural fabrics: hemp, linen, silk and cotton. Many pieces are eco-printed by hand with real leaves and flowers, and everything is cut and stitched in our own Mumbai workshop, in small batches or made to order, so less goes to waste.

Natural fabrics are breathable and comfortable in warm weather, and they don't shed plastic microfibres in the wash the way polyester does. Hemp and linen in particular are strong and soften with every wash, so the garment lasts for years.

Our ethical production practice directly impacts the lives of our artisans. Our team members are primarily from the Malawani area in Mumbai and natural dyeing communities in Jharkhand. We ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and foster an inclusive environment, empowering them to improve their social and economic standards and preserving traditional craftsmanship. We use natural fabrics, make in small batches and to order, and give temple and celebration flowers a second life through Nirmalya Print™ instead of letting them go to waste. We pack orders with care in paper and cloth wherever we can, and we're open about what we haven't solved yet, such as polyester sewing thread.

Nirmalya Print™ transfers the colour and shape of real flowers, from temples, weddings and celebrations, and foraged leaves directly onto fabric by bundling and steaming. It uses no synthetic dyes and no printing plates, and the spent flowers are composted afterwards. No two prints are ever alike
